April and May have shown us that water holes are where it's at! The water has come down from the mountains a couple times to keep the holes filled.
That means trees stay watered (via water truck taking from the water holes).
That means animals stay watered.
That means people have water to use (while we work on solutions for clean water).
That means that we can experiment with irrigation.
We are so thankful! And we are encouraged and reinforced in our decision to put all our focus on digging more and bigger and better water holes.

Here's what it looks like when it is raining in the hills (ie, at the head of the ravines):
He makes springs pour water into the ravines; it flows between the mountains. They give water to all the beasts of the field; the wild donkeys quench their thirst.
